I have stopped wondering
What it is that lies behind me
No longer need
To turn around.

For every time I have
Turned to glance
I see that what stands before me
Has always been
The same.

The face, the love, within us both
Will I never
Be without.

It is beside me
Not behind me
Eyes to guide me

The eyes that remind me
We shall never drown.

And still
We rise.
